Francis Law

Mr Francis Law is the President of Hong Kong Mediation Centre (HKMC), Co-Chairman of the Mainland-Hong Kong Joint Mediation Center (MHJMC), Vice President of the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau CommercialMediation Alliance, Director of the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (HKMAAL), Advisor for China Chamber of International Commerce Dongguan Chamber of Commerce, and Immediate Past Chairman of Asia Mediation Association.
Francis has conducted a wide variety of mediation cases. He is currently serving on a number of Mediator Panels: HKMC, HKMAAL, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Mediation Center/ China Chamber of International Commerce (CCPIT/CCOIC) Mediation Centers in Shenzhen and Dongguan, Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (HKIArb), and Shenzhen Civil & Commercial Mediation Center. Since 2012, he has been appointed by the Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong as the member of the Steering Committee on Mediation, Accreditation Sub-committee, Regulatory Framework Sub-committee and Public Education and Publicity Sub-committee.In 2016, he was invited to be Expert Juror and mediatorof the Shenzhen Qianhai Co-operation Zone People’s Court.
Francis holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and now continues the education in Master of Law. Francis is the Lead Trainer of the ADR profession in Hong Kong, Shenzhen Qinghai and Guangzhou and Thailandand the Lead Assessorof HKMAAL. He is the Senior Adjunct Lecturer of the Macau University of Science and Technology, teaching the Master’s Degree in International Arbitration.
He has trained up hundreds of professionals in relation to conflict resolution, negotiation and workplace mediation, including government officials, lawyers, social workers and other professionals in conjunction to Universities in Hong Kong, in the mainland and overseas.
He has trained hundreds of assessors, coaches in the past 10 years. He also assisted arbitration institutions in Asia to set up mediation centers, designing mediation course, assessment and disciplinary mechanism.
