Mr. Sahid Ali, Mediator based at Ministry of Employment & IR from 2008 under the Employment Relation Promulgation. Currently, Mr. Sahid Ali is an Associate Mediator with SMC. He has joined Ministry of Employment & IR from November 1991 and has worked in various divisions which also include prosecution and Industrial Relation prior to his appointment to Mediation Unit as a pioneer Mediator in 2008. He continues to serve in that position till to date.
He has participated in various training conducted by SMC in 2006 Managing Conflicts and Resolving Disputes affectively through mediation and Mediation of Labour Disputes by ILO in 2005.
Under his current position as a Mediator, in charge of District Office, he mediates employment related grievances and employment disputes reported by Trade Unions. He completed his Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personal Management from University of South Pacific in 2007.
