Yang Yan

Yang Yan, Master of Law ofPeking University, successively worked in Criminal Adjudication Tribunal and Civil Adjudication Tribunal of Beijing Mentougou District People’s Court; and Political Department，General Office, Educational and Training Department, and Case Filing Tribunal of Beijing Higher People’s Court. She is currently the Judge and President of Case Filing Court of Beijing High Court. She has leaded andparticipated in the promotion of several judicial reforms of Beijing courts, such as the Registration System for Filling Cases andthe Diverse Dispute Resolution Mechanism, andelevatedthe development of fast adjudication based on Diverse Dispute Resolution Mechanism. She has also edited and published numerousbooks and articles on civil cases and mediation. She was appointed as theMember of Comparative Law Committee, Beijing Law Society in 2012 and the Secretary General of Beijing Association for the Promotion of MultiaspectIntermediation and Development in 2015.
