JiangHuiling

Senior Judge JiangHuiling, born in October 1963, is the Senior Judge at the Supreme People’s Court of China, President of China Institute of Applied Jurisprudence (CIAJ), and the Secretary-General of China Association for Judicial Studies.
He is also the Chief Editor of China Law Reportsand China Review of Administration of Justice, and the Director of Court History Study Center.
Judge Jiang studied in the China University of Politics and Law from 1980 to 1987 and graduated with his LLB and LLM degrees. Since 1996, he also conferred his LLM in Public Law from the University of Montreal in 2000. Moreover, acting as a visiting scholar, he had studied in Sydney University Law (1997), Australian National University, Yale University Law School (2003), and theInstitute of Jurisprudence, Academia Sinica of Taiwan (2013).
In the Supreme People’s Court, Judge Jiang worked in the Research Department, General Office, CIAJ and Judicial Reform Office for nearly30 years. He used to work as the Deputy Director of Judicial Reform Office, conducting researchin Judicial Reform Policy and drafting judicial interpretations and judicial reform plans. He was also in-charge of the outline, organization and coordination of other reform projects, such as ADR promotion, judicial transparency, guiding case project, internal judicial independence, judicial ethics, and judges system. From 2015, Judge Jiang was appointed as the President of the China Institute of Applied Jurisprudence.
